Like Kleenex and Band-Aid, Botox is a brand name that’s become indistinguishable from the product.  A recent study gives an interesting view of how the two products rate in a side-by-side test.  The results are in:  the anti-wrinkle injection Dysport proved better at reducing crow's feet than its older, more popular competition, Botox.

The study, published in the Archives of Facial Plastic Surgery, compared the two  botulinum toxins. The study aimed to figure out which product worked better to improve the appearance of such creases, known as crow's feet — the wrinkles that fan out when you smile, laugh or squint. In a 30-day trial, researchers injected 90 study participants with both medications, using one kind on the right side of the face and the other on the left. They found that both physicians and patients rated Dysport as more effective at reducing crow's feet lines, while smiling, than Botox.

Fuller Lips for a Youthful Look

Research suggests that fuller lips may have as much to do with a woman’s perceived age as the appearance of wrinkles. “The volume in your lips starts to decline as early as in the mid-30s,” says Susan Stevens Tanne,M.D., Medical Director of COSMETIC LASER MD in Livingston, NJ. 

Injecting the lips with hyaluronic acid filler likes Restylane, Juvéderm and Perlane can create fuller, plumper lips. A New Wrinkle Reducer Set To Debut This Spring
